Background

Robert E. Sabido is a 26-year veteran of the legal industry.  He began his legal career in the Honors Attorney Program of the Oregon Department of Justice where he served as an Assistant Attorney General in both the Appellate and Trial Divisions.

After two years in the Oregon Department of Justice, Robert went into private practice with a medium-sized law firm in Portland, Oregon.  There, he rose through the ranks and became an equity partner in the law firm.  Along the way, Robert developed expertise in business litigation, commercial disputes, insurance coverage, and appellate-level analysis and writing.  He also served as a leader in several bar organizations, including on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Oregon Federal Bar Association, and as a Practice Group Leader and Chair of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, Insurance Coverage Practice Group.

Among Robert’s significant contributions to the law firm was developing a practice area that the firm did not previously have – one focused on representing financial services providers in litigation and compliance matters.  Robert went on to grow this practice area and to serve as its Practice Group Leader in the firm for over 14 years, originating and serving a wide variety of clients in the financial services industry ranging from large national banks to small local service providers.

With the opening of Sabido Law, LLC, Robert is excited about the opportunity to continue providing experienced, high-quality representation to clients without the cost inefficiencies associated with larger law firm overhead.
